The Retail ITAC and The Hong Kong Retail Management Association co-organised a sharing session at Conference Hall, Central Government Offices, Tamar on 4 December 2013.
We are delighted to invite renowned guests to share with participants their experience in QF application. The sharing session was divided into three parts. In the first part, Ms. Shirley Wong, Director & Deputy General Manager of Luk Fook Group and Ms. Jessica Li, Group General Manager of Tsui Wah Group shared on how their companies adopted the Specifications of Competency Standards (SCS) to design SCS-based courses and facilitated manpower development. Ms. May Chan, Human Resource Director, Learning & Development of The Dairy Farm Company Ltd., and Mr. Carrel Kam, Director of Yung Kee Restaurant Group Ltd. shared on how to assist their employees to plan the progression pathway in the second part of the session. Finally, Ms. Salina Chan, Head of Learning & Development of A.S. Watson Group (HK) Limited (Retail & Manufacturing) shared on how to promote the corporate image by accreditation of internal training programmes. Mr. Benny Chiang, Registrar of Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications also introduced the procedures of programme accreditation and points to note. Over 200 representatives from industry related employers, human resources departments, professional institutions as well as education and training providers participated in the sharing session.
