Specification of Competency Standards for the Fashion Industry 

The Specification of Competency Standards (SCS) for the Fashion industry comprises the key competency standards required for the present operations and future developments of the industry. Developed with extensive industry consultation and consensus, SCS for the Fashion Industry in Hong Kong is representing the good practices and competency standards of the industry with clearly articulated performance requirements and outcome standards of different job functions at various QF levels.

Distribution of UoCs at different levels

The competency standards are expressed in the form of Units of Competency (UoCs). The first edition of Fashion SCS consists of 268 UoCs, which are distributed in 6 functional areas at QF levels 2 to 7. After de-duplication of common UoCs, the total number of unique UoCs amounts to 233.
