Backstage tour of Travel Industry

The Travel Industry Training Advisory Committee (ITAC) piloted four “Backstage tour of Travel Industry” sessions between March and May 2025. The events provided secondary students studying HKDSE Tourism and Hospitality with opportunities to visit travel agencies headquarters, gaining in-depth understanding of their operations of travel agencies in Hong Kong and interacting with industry practitioners. These activities aimed to help students understand the industry’s development prospects and progression pathways, while planning their future academic and career directions. The sessions received enthusiastic responses, with participants reporting they not only reinforced learning and enhanced understanding of both the industry and Qualifications Framework (QF), but also increase their interest while recognising QF as a good tool throughout their learning journey.
