Vocational Qualifications Pathway (VQP)
Travel ITAC launched VQP in November 2021. There are altogether 8 pathways covering the following areas:
A. Progression Pathways for Frontline Practitioners
- Outbound Agent
- Corporate Agent
- Online Travel Agent
- Inbound Agent
B. Progression Pathways for Support Staff
- Operations Department
- Ticketing Department
- Product Development Department
- Marketing Department
Education and training providers are welcomed to design VQP courses which are fully-matched with the requirements of the job roles, or as specified by the industry.
Specification of Competency Standards (SCS)
Travel ITAC has formulated a set of SCS for Travel Industry in 2021.
Training Packages
Travel ITAC will explore the need of developing SCS-based training packages to encourage enterprises and education and training providers to develop courses more closely aligned with the needs of industry.
