Get to Know Travel Industry with QF: Travel Industry Power Formers

On 16 April 2026, the Travel Industry Training Advisory Committee organised the “Travel Industry Power Formers” experiential workshop for secondary school students. The activity provided opportunities to engage with seasoned travel industry practitioners to understand career prospects and opportunities within the industry. Through an interactive boardgame, students explored the major roles within the travel industry and the related competencies required. They also took an open-top sightseeing bus to experience the development of local tourism, during which instructors gave on-site explanations and demonstrations of frontline tour guide duties. Students were further given the opportunity to design and share sightseeing itineraries, thereby gaining a deeper understanding of the job functions of travel industry practitioners.
