The E&M Industry Training Advisory Committee (ITAC) has produced the draft Specification of Competency Standards (SCS) for its 5 branches (Fire Engineering, Gas Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Plumbing Engineering and Railway E&M Engineering). The ITAC is going to conduct an industry-wide consultation on the draft SCS, with an objective to seek the views of relevant trade associations, workers unions, learned societies, professional bodies and related organizations in the industry. The consultation period will last for 5 months, from 1 December 2007 to 30 April 2008. A number of briefing sessions and focus group meetings will be held during the consultation period to help stakeholders gauge their views and comments on the content and its potential applications adoption in a more elaborated manner. The full version of each Draft SCS can be downloaded from this website.
Views or suggestions on the draft SCS are welcome and can be reached to the E&M ITAC Secretariat by email at hkqf@edb.gov.hk. |
