The Chinese Catering Qualifications Framework Advisory Committee has completed the draft "Specification of Competency Standards (SCS)" and unit clusters under the "Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)" mechanism for industry consultation. Views from relevant trade associations, unions and relevant bodies in the industry are being solicited. The consultation period will last for nine months, from 1 October 2007 to 30 June 2008. Subsequent to the kick-off of industry consultation at a simple and solemn ceremony, a consultation session and several seminars have been held to enhance industry stakeholders understand more of the Qualifications Framework and the industry consultation.
