As proposed by the Automotive ITAC, the Specification of Competency Standards (SCS) of the Automotive Industry – Operation, Sales, Services and Parts Management Sector may consist of the following core functional areas:

- The SCS has been moderated by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) for consistency of QF level across industries.
- The draft SCS has to be submitted to the ITAC for consideration of final approval.
